Kings XI Punjab Punjab  team is coached by the Australian veteran Michael Bevan and has the services of Australian Adam Gilchrist as the captain.They also have the former Australian pace bowler Jason Gillespie as the bowling coach. The team includes mainly Australians like David Hussey, Shaun Marsh and Ryan Harris. The team had a better performance in the first editions of IPL under Yuvraj Singh.
