Read all about the IPL 5 opening match 2012 which will feature CSK and MI. The IPL is the most influential sports league in India and is valued as a million dollar business by the business magazines. The fifth edition of the IPL will begin from April 4 and end on May 27. The opening ceremony of the IPL 5 will be hosted by Amitabh Bacchan on April 3 7:30 pm.

IPL 5 2012 will begin from April 4 2012 and in the opening match the Chennai super kings will meet Mumbai Indians. You can also consider this match as a replay of the IPL 4 final which incidentally had the same teams. One thing mattes if Chennai won the IPL 4 final over Mumbai, Mumbai would be banging hard to pay revenge upon Chennai this year.

With heavy player trading and a good auction Mumbai had added to their ranks the players like Dinesh Karthick, Pragyan Ojha, Herschelle Gibbs and R.P. Singh. While Chennai seems to have made just one change to their existing squad with the inclusion of the high paid all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

The IPL 5 opening match 2012 will be one o a highlight as this match would set the folds of the 2 month old tournament.

IPL 5 will have 16matches in total with the 72 games of league stage. The first 2 teams will play the first qualifier and the winner of this match goes through to the finals. The loser of this s first qualifier would play the winner of the second qualifier (between 3 rd and 4th ranked teams) and the winner of this match will meet the other team in the IPL 5 final.
