Saurav Ganguly, Pune Warriors and IPL 5

Saurav Ganguly and IPL5
With the recent controversies that hogged the limelight regarding the Pune Warriors withdrawal from IPL, there were high speculations on the opportunity of many players.Saurav Ganguly was definitely one of them.

In the IPL auction in 2011 Saurav Ganguly had no takers. His counterparts like Dravid and Laxman got the grace from teams like Rajasthan Royals and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.Thankfully Sahara Pune Warriors gave Ganguly the chance in their team once they understood that their team lacked some experience in the ranks.

Ganguly was taken midway in the tournament getting an uproar from the Ganguly fans all over India.

With the retirement of Shane Warne from IPL. Rahul Dravid has now taken reigns from him as the captain.Laxman on the other hand has got the worst deal in IPL auction 2012 with no teams showing interest in including this experienced test cricketer in their squad.

Ganguly too had been catapulted to the top position in the Sahara Pune Warrior’s squad since Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out of the equation with cancer .Ganguly has got a pretty good job at his hands and all depends on how well he would be able to make the players gel together. With enough options to field a standard eleven, he would be hoping for a victory to begin with when the Sahara Pune warriors meet Mumbai Indians on April 6 2012 in their first encounter.

Can Gangulys Pune Warriors win that match over Sachin Tendulkars Mumbai Indians? That seems to be the question in the minds of everyone.
What do you think?

Saurav Ganguly or Sachin Tendulkar?
