Has Mumbai Indians grown stronger in IPL 5 2012 with the inclusion of Dinesh Karthik and Pragyan Ojha?


Mumbai Indians had taken a calculated move in solving the issue of wicket keeper problem they had with bringing in the talented Dinesh Karthik. They also included the wily spinner Pragyan Ojha into their bowling line up.

Ojha would be happy that he left the Deccan Chargers team considering the fact that he was not given his chances to play in the matches because Deccan already had a spinner in Amit Mishra who was much more useful with the bat than him. Ojha would definitely be hoping for a fresh start with Mumbai Indians this season.

Dinesh Karthik has always been the first option of Indian selectors some time back when ever Dhoni had to go out of the team. He also had a stint in the Indian team purely as a batsman alongside Dhoni. Last year Ipl he played for Kings Xi Punjab where he could not make his mark felt. With Adam Gilchrist in the ranks Punjab no longer required him as a wicket keeper. So it was a nice regulation between the teams Mumbai and Punjab when Dinesh Karthik joined Mumbai for Ipl 5. But as per the reports Mumbai had to pay a hefty sum to Punjab for his inclusion in their squad.
